Flap Making Technology
The Motwani LASIK Institute has the
widest, most technologically advanced array of
microkeratomes- the flap making devices necessary for the
various LASIK procedures.
The Motwani LASIK Institute is the
first laser center in
The Ziemer Femtosecond LDV has the
ability to make flaps at multiple thickness levels, allowing
full customization of the flap size and depth to allow the
surgeon to customize the flap creation process. Even more
importantly, flap creation is very reliable, reproducible,
with very little variance in flap thickness between eyes and
patients.
The Ziemer Femtosecond LDV laser head
is also mounted on an articulating arm which can perform the
flap creation right at the excimer laser . The Intralase
femtosecond system requires the patient to patient to move
from one laser to the other, increasing time and patient
stress. The Ziemer articulating arm allows the patient
to lay in one procedure bed and to dramatically shorten the
time for the All Laser LASIK process.
Dr. Motwani has also has the finest
blade microkeratome- The Moria Evolution M2. It is
very reliable, makes perfect, smooth flaps, and has the
ability to make flaps at various depths. It is quick
and very smooth, and creates scalloped flap edges that
minimize epithelial ingrowth.
Dr. Motwani is the only refractive
surgeon in
