A LASIK enhancement (or a laser touch-up using LASIK or PRK) can safely correct residual irregularities in the eye if your cornea is stable and sufficiently thick. The procedure takes seconds, relifting the lasik flap and reshaping the cornea to fix remaining irregularities. The final result is to get a patient at or close to 20/20 vision as possible.
This patient received LASIK and a monovision correction to have one eye for distance vision and the other for near vision to counteract age-related close-up focusing issues. In this case one eye needed a little adjustment to improve clarity.
