For some people, after having LASIK their eye protrudes out and distorts the cornea when too much of the corneal tissue is removed. In many cases post LASIK ectasia is misdiagnosed or under diagnosed as this is similar to the eye getting worse over time due to age. However, thankfully, this patient was able to get diagnosed and treated for both the ectasia and keratoconus, degenerative instances that affect the eye. Through advanced laser technology and the right scientific measurements, they can already see clearer than before!
